How we collect, use, and protect your data, including your rights under GDPR.
This Privacy Policy explains how Clipply LLC ("Clipply," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data when you visit our website, create an account, or use the Clipply smart-link platform (collectively, the "Service"). This policy applies to visitors, registered users, and their end customers whose clicks are processed through links created on the Service.
Clipply acts as a data controller for account and billing information, and as a data processor on behalf of our customers for click and visitor analytics data generated through links our customers create.
Name, email address, workspace name, and billing details you provide when you register or purchase a subscription. Card payment details are collected and processed directly by Tap Payments, our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. Clipply never receives or stores your full card number.
When a visitor clicks a link created through Clipply, we automatically collect the destination URL, timestamp, approximate geographic location (derived from IP address), device type, browser, referrer, and, where relevant, bot/fraud-detection signals. IP addresses are used to derive this data and are stored in a privacy-masked form.
Log data, device identifiers, and cookies described in our Cookie Policy.
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, essential site functionality, and analytics. You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. See our full Cookie Policy for details on the categories of cookies we use and how to manage them.
We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. Link click and analytics data is retained according to your subscription plan's data-retention window, after which it is automatically aggregated or deleted. You may request earlier deletion as described in Section 9.
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews. Payment data is handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS compliant processor, Tap Payments. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognized under applicable data protection law, to ensure your data remains protected.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with equivalent data protection law, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Data Protection team at privacy@clipply.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at privacy@clipply.com and we will take steps to delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or through the Service before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
